Does anyone else ever listen to the chorus of Gaslight Anthem’s “Great Expectations” and think about how much it seems to go

I saw Daleks last night in a dream about my old life
Everybody leaves so why, why wouldn’t you?

and how, with a little effort on your part, the whole song could probably be reworked to accompany Doctor Who, were the show not hung up on the electronic accompaniment that so bothered me during the early episodes of the new series?
